Imogen
I have been a carer pretty much my whole life. My Mum is legally blind (not fully blind), and has multiple different eye conditions, as well as mental health problems. I care for her by helping her with basic tasks that she otherwise would struggle with due to her vision. Due to this and childhood trauma, I have been forced to grow up faster than most people my age. I am still a teenager and going to school everyday is a struggle for me. Caring for my Mum makes me more more cautious and have more anxiety in my day to day life as I am constantly worried about something happening to her. My Mum does everything for me, so I do the best I can to help her, and she is doing bigger things and I’m so proud of her for that.
