Janet - VIC
I'm a fairly new carer having only cared for my husband for about 12 months. At first, he was able to help with small jobs but after he had covid in December, he has gradually required more help. I have learned patience, putting his needs before my own. At first, I was resentful that I had to do everything while my husband just sat in a chair and being waited on. To go from being very active to not being unable to do anything was very frustrating for him and he often feels useless. I very much appreciate when he goes on the Out and About days so I can do "nothing". I think we are actually growing closer together as we are sharing more of our thoughts and feelings.
