Kaitlyn

I’ve been caring for my mum since 2019. Full time care since the end of 2022. I do it as I care and love her so much. Caring is so rewarding, but also so challenging. It creates a void slowly between carer and recipient. A void between carer and and the every day world. Your life, every minute and every waking second is providing care for them. Ensuring they have all needs met, providing all essential needs. Promoting independence while also reducing all risks. It’s a daunting experience, never sure if the end of it will be they get better or they get worse. I love what I do, because I love others more than myself. It’s tiring and amazing. Relentless and fulfilling.
I’m not sure if my story is one of love other people would want to read, but this is my reality.
